The South End Green Social, formerly known as The White Horse and The Cork and Bottle, is one of Hampstead’s most historic pubs, located at the heart of South End Green. Known for its triangular shape, unique interior features, and its role as a community hub, the pub has recently reopened under its new name, South End Green Social, as a welcoming space for locals.
The building, in its current form, dates back to 1904 and has served as a pub for a considerable period. It was frequented by famous figures like George Orwell and Joe Orton, who lived and worked nearby.
